Mr. Hiram B. Otis was a rich American from New York. He  had come to live and work in England, but he did not want to live in London. He did not want to live in city. He wanted to live in the countryside outside London.

Canterville chase was a large and very old house near london. Lord centerville, the owner, wanted to sell it. So Mr. Otis visited lord centerville.

Lord centerville has tell Mr. Otis that there is a ghost stay in centerville. But Mr. Otis does not believe the ghost and does not fright.

Mr. Simon de centerville is ghost. He has lived in his house for hundred of years. His job is to terrify the people who stay there. Then Mr. Otis, an American, buys the house. And the ghost is angry, he can not frighten the Otis’ family.

•       Strongest : It is appropriate to readers who like horror story.

•       Weakness : It is horror story. It will be the problem for coward readers and make them shock.
